March 31 1st Goal MetThe challenge at work is now over and I hit the 20 lbs there. Yea.
I just wanted to share a fund raiser idea with you all here, we are doing this at our Church.
We are doing a weight loss fund raiser, what you do is get sponsors to sponsor you so much a pound loss. ex. $1.00 a pound. We are doing this for about 12 weeks and all the money goes to the youth group to go to camp this summer. I'm not for sure how many people have signed up to do this but I think it is about 15 or so. We gave it the name BIGGEST GIVER because you are giving of yourself. I am looking foward to seeing how much I can loose during this challenge and helping the youth group everybody is a winner here if we loose. Some reason that didn't sound right but you know what I mean.
I want to congratulate everyone here on their weight loss and personal victories and to thank you all for all the encouragment through this journey.
Staci March 13 Woo HooThree pounds this week. I finally hit the twenty pounds lost and I tell you it felt good. We started the biggest loser at work about a week after I started here and it is over in two weeks. My goal there was to exercise at least 6 hrs a week and lose 20 lbs. So far I have did the exercising each week and I have lost 17 lbs just 3 more to go with 2 weigh-ins to do it.
Well it's very late and I am going to sleep sitting here.
Staci March 06 SloooooooooowwwwwwwwwwwSlow, that is how it is going for me. Last week, I had one pound weight loss and this week not even one ounce. This past weekend I had a bad weekend with my eating. I am grateful that I didn't gain any. ON a higher note, well kinda sorta, Tuesday nite at work it was a horrible and very stressful, I mean very stressful nite. Usually on days like this I would come home and eat, eat, eat, but I was determined I wasn't going to do this this time and I didn't. I'm sure some of it was due to the fact that I had to weigh in today, but I set my heart on not doing it and I didn't. This was one giant step for me. As I said before, thanks again for all the support.
Staci February 21 Two More downTwo more pounds down. Although I would like to see a bigger number, I'm ok with 2 pounds. My main goal is to loose 42 more pounds, but my goal to loose before this challenge is over is only 12 more pounds. I hope I make it. I would like to thank everyone for your support and I wish the best for everyone else. February 17 Pyramid tracker I found this site while surfing around. It's called my pyramid tracker. You go in and put in everything you eat and drink and it does all the rest. It tells you all the nutrient values, your total calories, total fat.....it also tells you how many you need. I wanted to post mine on this page, but I don't know how. February 09 Another week and another 2lbs., yeaAnother week and another 2 lbs and I am ok with that. This past week I was craving some long john silvers battered dipped fish and so I went and got some. I am happy to say I just ate 2 pieces. Then later in the week I wanted some fried chicken and I stopped at 1 chicken leg. I turned down some fried chicken at the end of last month and that is a miracle in itself, I love fried chicken. Then just today, well actually yesterday, (I haven't been to bed yet), I was able to turn down a piece of pie. I am beginning to think that maybe, just maybe, I can do this. January 31 Not as Good, but still a lostI was discouraged when I first weighed and seen that I had not even lost 2 lbs this week. I made it a point not to eat when I came home late at nite and thought that this would help, well I guess it didn't.
I'm so glad that the Biggest Loser and msn has put this together so we can have this forum for support and we are able to vent and know that people can relate to our struggles and understand us. Thanks, to all for your support.
One a good note, even tho I didn't have as good of a week as last week, our team at work got 32 points and last week we only got 31. I won't know till I get to work where we stand compared to the other teams, but we have had 2 good weeks. Well, I guess I'm off to exercise.
Staci January 26 In shock!!!I haven't had the opportunity to blog since my last weigh in. I knew that I had lost some, because I peaked earlier in the week, but I was really in shock when I seen I had come down 7 lbs. As I have said before one of my worst habits is eating late at nite. So I started eating a light snack like a popcorn cake (45 calories) and drink a glass of milk. To my surprise, I actually sleep better when I do this, than when I don't eat at all. Also, our team at work is tied for 3rd place in the contest, with the first place team only 6 points ahead of us. This really gave us the incintive to keep up our exercising and good eating habits. Well, it's late and time for bed. Nite January 22 Better WeekThis has been a much better week eating wise, some of it has to do with having a bad tooth, but even before it started hurting, I was doing much better. My exercising has got back into my routine and I feel great. I had to take a peak and I weighed in this morning but my official weigh in day is now Wed. so I will be back in the morning to update the ticker. Well off to work I go. January 14 A new weekAs I stated in my last blog, we are starting a biggest loser program at work so after this week my weigh in day will be on Wed. I haven't weighed in yet, but I know it is not going to be good because I had a rough nite last nite. Chips, chips, chips. However, the chips are now out of the house. I hope this program at work will be good for me, I do better when doing things for someone else than for myself. So maybe, just maybe I can do it for the team, which in the long run, it will be good for me. Ok, I just went and weighed. Last week during the week, I had come down 4 lbs, but during the weekend, and eating late at nite, did nothing but hurt me. I put back on 2 lbs. Grrrrrrrrr. Well, this is a new week and we will see what happens. I have to start my "want to" back up.
Oh, I almost forgot, I started the biggest loser dvd today and I recommend it. It's hard ,but it makes you sweat and I just did the warm up,cardio one and the cool down, but I feel better already.

Staci January 07 Our journey beginsHello,
We would like to introduce ourselves. Our names are Jennifer(32) and Staci (41).Our friendship began at Church many years ago, but since then, we have worked out together and we try real hard to keep the other one's spirits up while dealing with the daily issues concerning weight. We are kind of getting a late start with this million pound match-up, but we hope this will be the beginning of a whole new life-style.

Question- Jennifer,What is your weight loss goal?
Answer-27lbs
Question-And Staci
Answer- 58lbs that's a combine weight loss of 85lbs.
Question- Staci, why would you want to enter a contest, where you know that you are going to have to do more work than you have ever done before?
Answer-We both know that it takes hard work to be a winner. We are willing to do whatever it takes to get back to a healthy life-style, but first we have to fix what's broken and that takes hard work.
Question- Jennifer, how do you plan on doing that?
Answer-Watching what we eat, exercising daily for at least 30 mins and building from there, getting a healthy amount of rest and last but not least continue to encourage one another and also giving the other one a swift kick if need be.
Ok last question, why do you think that you should be picked as one of the winners?
Answer-We would both love the opportunity to be able to be a part in the celebration with others that are beating the weight problem. |
